A Warm Chinese New Year Celebration at Rainbow Bridge Academy
On Friday, February 13, Rainbow Bridge Academy hosted a joyful Chinese New Year celebration in our Party Room, bringing together students, families, and teachers to welcome the new year in a warm and meaningful way.
Student Performances Full of Courage
The celebration featured two prepared student performances:
“Chinese Idioms for New Year Blessings”and“Yuan Ri (New Year’s Day)”, a classical Chinese poem describing the joyful atmosphere of the first day of the lunar new year.
During the event, many children also stepped onto the stage spontaneously to sing, recite, or share what they had learned.
While some performances were still a little shy and unpolished, the children’s courage to stand up, try, and express themselves was deeply moving.
Experiencing Chinese Culture Through Hands-On Learning
This celebration was not only about performance, but also about cultural experience.
In the days leading up to the event, the children created handmade lanterns, paper cuttings, and “Fu” characters, which they used to carefully decorate our Party Room.
Through these hands-on activities, students were able to feel, experience, and live Chinese culture in a joyful and meaningful way.
Joy, Gifts,
and Shared Happiness
To celebrate the occasion, the school prepared fun New Year gifts for all students.
The children were filled with excitement and joy, and the room was full of smiles, laughter, and happy memories.
A Warm and Supportive Community
We are deeply grateful to our families for their support and participation.
Moments like this remind us that education is not only about learning, but also about confidence, creativity, connection, and community.
We look forward to continuing this journey together in the new year.
